Among the documented transitions: Vimeo Plus subscribers previously paying $15/month are being migrated to the Professional plan at $70/month, a 367% price increase. Starter users face a 483% increase to reach a feature-equivalent tier, or a downgrade to Creator, which removes privacy controls and player branding. Standard users are seeing approximately 180% increases in comparable functionality. Customers on legacy Business and Premium tiers have reported receiving automated notifications of forced transitions to plans priced at up to $20,000 per year.

Long-term customers report being forced off grandfathered plans and onto new pricing tiers with no option to retain their existing rates. Vimeo doesn’t offer price-lock guarantees on standard subscriptions.
